The Boulder Opal sits on the same Next Gem platform as the Black Opal, rebuilt for players who want more control. The power band has been widened, so the paddle stays forgiving and stable further out from the centre of the face.

Dwell time is longer and the ball sits in the face for a fraction longer, which makes resets more predictable and gives you more time to shape spin. Pop has been dialled back compared to the Black Opal. You still get the power to attack, just with a more consistent response behind it.

Suited to players who like the feel of the Opal series but want a steadier, more controlled paddle underneath it.
